View LYNNABEL's food & exercise for this day
I weighed myself this morning. And I was up 7 pounds from my last weigh in which was 2 weeks ago.
I eliminated as many sources of error as I could:
1. Its not the scale because my husband weighs the same as he did 2 weeks ago.
2. I don't have my period so its not TOM weight.
3. There is a remote possibility that it I read the scale wrong 2 weeks ago - that I read 130 instead of 135, but I don't think so.
4. This is a tiny possibility that Im retaining some water from a beer last night, but not 7 pounds worth.
My measurements are up, too -
Chest - up 2 inches
Waist up 1.5
Hips - up 1.5
Thighs - up 0.25
My calories have been set at 1600 since my wedding. Which is/should be roughly maintenance for me.
I have been at about 75% truthfulness in logging my food. I didnt think I was missing 7 x 3500 calories, but who knows.
So, it seems like it is a real, honest-to-goodness gain.
I had a few minutes of a disbelief, horror, and a breakdown. Then, I re-grouped, accepted the gain, and planned my attack. Im going back to 1300 until Im back down to my 130 set point.. Ive been exercising faithfully so that wont change.
The moral - MAINTENANCE IS HARD. DO NOT TAKE IT FOR GRANTED. The battle isnt over just because you reached goal. In fact, in many ways, it hasnt even begun until you reach maintenance. Losing is easy. Maintaining is hard.
