I'm behind this morning.

I fell asleep on my hands and they were numb when the alarm went off so I couldn't flip off the switch - talk about motor skills issues. It was alarming and funny at the same time, as I pawed away at the clock hoping to flip something to make it SHUT UP. Eventually I had to use my pinky finger - the only non-numb one.

On our walk this morning, Ripple and I (well, probably just me) these beautiful blue flowers on a trellace arch over someone's front walk way. I've seen these flowers as stalks but in this case they were vine-y - one circular petal - maybe morning glories, but I think not. There were at least 50 of them, all erect ( GB) and trumpeting themselves together in one direction. I assumed it was towards the sun. Then I looked around and it wasn't - all 50 plus of them were facing the wrong way. Why? Was it left over from last night and they hadn't figured it out yet? Was someone tanning next door? Inquiring minds want to know.

Some random pregnancy notes - I think I'm going to remove my belly ring. Not because its uncomfortable, but because it sticks out so far now I'm afraid it'll snag on something. I'm producing lots of colostrum. Every night - some on both sides. And it stains. And I don't want to wear a bra to bed just yet. I wish, wish, wish this meant I will have lots of milk for walnut. And I have to - ahem - poop 947 times a day. I have no short term memory - but I've noted that already (I think). I've lost my mind in general - but we've noted that already. At least I haven't been crying 24/7 lately - but let's not count on that lasting just yet. Maternity clothes are even more short lived than you'd think - I can't wear 1/2 my things anymore.

Names I call Ripple (thought I'd write these down for posterity so I can laugh at them later): Ripple-pie, Ripple-pants, Precious-pie, Precious-McDougal, Fruity Mac, Fruity-pie, Fruity-pants (my fave), Fruity-Pot pie, Fruity Pot, Fruits, Fruits-Domino, etc. Poor dog.
