...you lose your car in the parking lot for the first time in your life. Seriously. I've never understood how a person can forget where they parked. And there weren't THAT many rows to choose from so it wasn't as if I needed to remember "Aligator Section, Green Row, Spot 17." Good thing I'm not a rocket scientist or brain surgeon in real life.
From now on, when I see a pregnant woman wandering the parking lot, I will know what her problem is.
So I don't forget: "fa-da" is fall down and thunder. "Fahk" (followed by the muffled snorting of whichever parent is within earshot) is flock (!!) and frog. I'm going to jot these down each time I write in this blog/journal thing, because when I go to write them all down, I can only remember one or two.
Next Saturday is Parents Night Out, which is the MOST amazing community outreach service of our local Lutheran church. Although we joined, attend, and

the Unitarian Universalist church we've been flirting with for years, the Lutheran church nearby is where I go to "MOPS" (Mothers of Preschoolers) and where we take Will on the first Saturday of each month for Parents Night Out. They watch kids from 6:30 - 9:30 for $5. Which is key for us because we don't have our own babysitter, and the nursery attendants at the church are either professionals, other parents, or volunteer (supervised) teenagers. Anyway - we're going to Manny's for dinner to celebrate our 3rd anniversary. Mmmm steak. Huge steak. I love steak.
(One side note - the MOPS group asked me to be a leader, but I had to decline. You "have" to be a Christian to be on the leadership council, and while I believe in God, I am not Christian. They were very appreciative of my honesty and I felt more comfortable about my involvement there after "disclosing" to them that they have a heathen in their midst.)
Steve is the worst person to shop for, so I can't think of anything to get him for our anniversary. Ideas? Unless its something naughty.

That might have to be it. After all, what else would you reward the husband who independently buys you a new breast pump as a surprise with? I thought so. Boom-chica-chica-boom.

Yay! I'm so glad you joined the UU church. My UU pals are some of the smartest and most grounded people I know. (Maybe they'll teach you car-finding tricks! ) And yay for the Lutherans not having simultaneous strokes when you busted out the believe in God, but not Christian, thing. Whoo MOPS!
=D Mmmmm ... steak. And naughties.
:eyebrows: Sounds like a great night to me!

LM and I have been talking a lot about churches lately, I'm glad to hear you've found a couple that really work for you.
