I am struggling right now. I'm feeling what I think is good bit of mourning for my personal time. Between being gone from the house for 10/11 hours each day to worrying about making sure every moment with my children is meaningful, I have neither the time for personal things on a daily basis or time for my husband.I'm a smart person - there are certainly things I could do to help this situation out, but I'm just tired of HAVING to SCHEDULE everything. Tonight I read a bunch of books to Will - his ability to concentrate on longer story lines is noticeable now. He was sitting on my lap and he'd just gotten out of a bath, and I was nuzzling the back of his neck while I read. Those moments are so sweet. He is so precious to me. His big head on his small neck with those curls. And his ears. And little, expressive hands. And he is so tolerant of my physical affection and often returns it. Quick update - my mornings are full but nice. I'm up at 6 and scoop Ellen from Steve at that time. Then I get to puts (sp?) until Will wakes up. It gives me time with the kids in the morning since I don't get home until 6:30. Will is a handful in the morning though - he can read me like a book. Argh.I don't deserve this, but I'm at my pre-Ellen weight. I'm appreciative of it - it means I "just" need to start working out again, which I will do today at work and I should be able to...

Ellen and I are home now. We had a great time. Ellen was an angel the whole time, and she made my mother so happy. The doctors and nurses at the hospital loved Ellen as well. In fact, people came into my mothers room just to see her. She beemed at everyone and snuggled with my mom.The traveling went fairly well. The gate agents and flight attendants were so helpful (Missy - it was United). I do need to get to the airport 1.5 hours in advance, though I cut it way too close with 1 hour ...
