Just a quick note to make a request of you - however you pray, or meditate, or send good thoughts out into the world, please keep my sister in mind.
Many of you have heard from me of my globe-trotting, cosmopolitan, spiritually and physically beautiful sister, who has been working for the UN's UNIFEM department for the last several years, where she worked on issues affecting women in several post-conflict countries around the world. She has accepted an assignment in Haiti for the UN's peace/stability efforts, and begins her new job in just days.
I wish her safety and a rich experience there, and am so very proud of her and her work.

Stephanie does wonderful work, the kind I would really love to be part of some day. (And some days, I would like that day to be now.
=D) I love when you forward a thought she has offered - she captures the spirit of the people and her ministry so beautifully. Praying for you, for her, for the communities she serves, and the lives that will surely - now or eventually - be transformed by such gifts of compassion.
