I don't have any New Year's Resolutions per se. As I said to Steve, I'm working on the things I want already. ( Steve told me he has never made a NY's resolution. And he's generally a healthy, happy person. He may be on to something.

)
However, I have planned and am tracking some workout goals in preparation for my April trip to Miami with my sister. (BTW, does anyone know any websites or travel agents that might find a ticket to Miami from Mpls for less than my entire life savings???)
I may increase the intensity of these goals, but I won't decrease them. Up until now, my general average was 25 min per day, 4 x per week (obviously this was very doable, probably too light, but I was consistent, which is big).
Week 1 - Week 4: 30 min per day, 4 x per week.
(Week 1 - goal met).
Week 5 - Week 8: 35 min per day, 4 x per week.
Week 9 - Week 11: 40 min per day, 4 x per week.
Week 12 - Week 13: 45 min per day, 4 x per week.
Its not super ambitious but it is realistic. And I will try to fit a 20 minute workout in on the weekends.
I do have measurements from right before Week 1, so if I want to, I can see what changes (if anything) over the 13 weeks.
Its nice to feel so much more energetic during workouts due to the increased calories that maintenance provides.
Maintenance is hard. I envision having to log forever. Seriously. What I may do is log for X number of weeks and give myself a week off, or something along those lines, but nothing beats logging. I think there are some people who can really settle into a weight and stay there without much self monitoring, but I'm not one of them. Alas.
I got Jillian's No More Trouble Zones and Biggest Loser's Sculpting DVDs. I'm really looking forward to rotating those into the workout mix.

Are you planning to rent a car? Trying flying into Ft. Lauderdale, instead of Miami. It's less than an hour from Miami (maybe 45 minutes) & A LOT cheaper. My & Lane's flights last June were $164 a piece.

The plan does look both healthy & realistic. Glad your maintenance plan is giving you a bit more physical energy!
Re: PT being painful. I think if the body part that is being worked on is already hurting, it's pretty much impossible to do any kind of therapy without hurting it more. But that is small consolation when you are undergoing it!
Re: plane tickets. I have sometimes had good luck w/CheapTickets and Expedia. If you can't find anything on those, sometimes you find the best fares by checking an airline's own website--from Denver, for example, I would check Southwest & JetBlue (I think these 2 don't sell tickets through discount sites like Expedia) & Frontier. I don't know what your best options are in Minneapolis, but I hope you find something! Priceline can be a good deal through the bidding option, but you don't usually get great fares that way until you're pretty close to your departure date.

Happy New Years! Look at you, working 'dat body' with a great plan in hand. Let me know how you like Jillians DVD's; I have one for my Wii which I have not used yet...um, cuz, she scares me.

Somehow I never knew you lived in Minneapolis! I lived there for almost 10 years and love it...

Yay for making a good and reasonable exercise plan. I've made many resolutions over the years and can't remember keeping one. Going a month at a time has worked pretty well over the last year for me.
:)
Thanks for the reminder to do measurements.

Yay for Jillian! I'm going to start her 30 day shred next week. I may not do it every day for 30 days, but I want to do one of her workouts at least 3x/week in addition to 4 days cardio at the gym. Yes...I'm dreaming big!
=D I like that you are confident about your goals .. it makes attaining them so much easier!!

I've never made new year's resolutions either. I try to assess and regroup as I go, year round. Granted, sometimes that works better than others.
=D Happy new year, beloved friend.
