Thank you to those of you who have inquired about my sister who lives and works in Haiti.

By freak chance she was out here in the states this week, but imagine my horror when I turned on the TV last night to see/hear "UN Peacekeeping Mission Building Collapses". I am so thankful she wasn't there, but I can't imagine what she must feeling for her colleagues and the country.

So glad to hear your sister is okay. What a terrible situation. All the more reason to make those plans to see her soon.

Wow. Lynn, I am so very glad that your sister is ok. This tragedy has touched my heart so deeply. I don't think it was a freak chance at all, that your sister was here. Enjoy her, and many prayers and thoughts go out to her and what she will be dealing with!

Oh Ms. Lynnie, I am so glad to read that your sister was not there. I will pray for her, her colleagues and the people of Haiti. I simply cannot watch it on television without breaking down and crying for such devastation, tragedy and loss. May God steady our hands so that we might focus on ways to fill their cups.

Oh, man. I had a (maybe too long ... ) moment of fear and concern myself when the news came on this morning. Why else would I rush to the computer at 7:10am? I love you much, Lynnie, and I am so glad that your sister is (physically, at least) okay.

Lynnie, I'm so glad to hear about Steph. I was going to call and ask last night, but it was the middle of the night and I didn't want to either wake the kids or add to your alarm. Praying mightily for so many ...
