View LYNNABEL's food & exercise for this day

Hi Friends!!!

I read blogs almost every day, but never make time to write my own. I'll get overwhelmed if I try to write too much, so I'll just say that I'm glad its 2015. I turned 40 a few months ago and have mixed feelings about that. Some health/body related, others more emotional/spiritual. I probably wouldn't be thinking about it much at all without the mile-marker that 40 is. I think I may be in perimenopause (hormone fluctuations that can occur 10-15 years before actual menopause). It would explain some things (headaches, memory loss, night sweats, etc.) I am actually okay with it despite how it sounds because at least this would explain the annoying symptoms. I was wondering if I had early onset dementia.

I am pretty sure I'm going to take only 2 classes this Spring for law school (normally its 4). Again, mixed feelings. Glad to have less work/more time, but also not crazy about pushing graduation and the bar back even further.

My sister got engaged! This is wonderful - I really like him. The bummer is that they will get married and continue to live in Haiti. It feels so far away, even though its only a 2 hour flight from FL. I am hoping I talk Steve into coming with me to the wedding, or at least letting the kids come. It would be good for them, I think.

I did a 9 minute exercise routine using the Johnson and Johnson exercise app this morning. Obviously a short workout, but I hadn't tried it before, so now I know about it. I can extend it, or make it harder next time. I have been low to medium good about working out (25-30 minutes, 2-4x per week). Not awesome, but not the worst ever.

Okay - gonna stop while I'm ahead. Love to the loved!!

OMG they are *so* good that I had one for lunch too. I think I then went into a nougat donut stupor. They have a vanilla version too but I haven't tried those.

Men are lucky, their styles change little with time. Given how my stuff seems to wear I'm pretty sure I have enough to last the rest of my life. I mean I haven't added the bright pattern golf slacks yet, I haven't reached that age. Still, I have way too much clothing for one person.

Makeup when you don't have to be presentable for the public? Do tell how you changed your outlook. Seriously. I am in a serious rut in the presentability department, and I needs a serious kick in the pants.

I watched Deadwood before The Sopranos. I was so pissed there was no resolution due to cancellation. Love Justified, too. If you like that, and can handle a bit more violence, you will like Sons of Anarchy, too. As an added bonus, the dude who plays Jax in SOA can bring on eyeliner dreams, much like Timothy Olyphant. Just sayin'. :eyebrows:
