View LYNNABEL's food & exercise for this day
Food (yesterday): Okay, but ended up eating out for lunch. Skipped dinner (I know, probably not ideal, but didnt have the calories and wasnt hungry anyway).
Exercise: (this a.m.): Good elliptical, 25 minutes. Always feels so good after its done.
Sleep: (last night): Meh. Woke up multiple times to use the bathroom. Mustve been retaining water.
Work (today): Some days feel like a mine field of petty irritations.
The rest of Life: Ellie told me that Lucas (you know, Mommy, the one who had a crush on me in first grade and kindergarten?) has been chasing her around the playground trying to kiss her. She seemed pleased but not surprised.

I remember being chased around at recess myself in 2nd grade. Kinda freaks me out to remember how grown up I felt in 2nd grade, and then put that into my mental conception of Ellies mind/outlook. I do that for a bit and then stop because it I just dont want to accept that Ellie is growing up. No one can make me look if I dont wanna.

I vividly remember second grade as the time when one of the boys in our class offered to tell my friend and me what the F-word meant. His definition really wasn't too far off: "It's when a boy and a girl pull down their pants and lay on each other and kiss." See, I still remember the EXACT WORDS even though I still had no idea why the boy and girl would want to do that.
Don't worry; she is not anywhere near grown up yet. You still get lots and lots of childhood!

I didn't think I'd be the mom who would be in denial about the kids growing up. I totally am. Raziel's 15.5 and fabulous, but it's very bittersweet. Ehin has his adult teeth in front. WTF? Wasn't he just born?
:laugh5:
If it makes you feel better, I still picture Miss Ellie with no hair and a Christmas dress.
