View LYNNABEL's food & exercise for this day

I haven't battled an appetite like this in years. :scream2: I know it is connected to me doing more cardio. Its as if I simply cannot get enough carbs. It has lasted for a month now. I have to figure something out. My normal breakfast and lunch are just not cutting it. For a while I held it at bay by eating nuts ( :hi: patti and :hi: jay) mid morning, but that wasn't enough. I think I need to bring in a huge bag of raw veggies to crunch on. I need something that I don't have to watch the portions on. That just makes me resentful. What I dread is the daily cutting up and bagging of the veggies. First world problem, I know, but I also know myself. The cardio is making me feel emotionally good, but I tell ya, I'm not sure the drastic increase in appetite is worth it...I kept thinking my body would adjust but it hasn't. I can't count the amount of Parmesan goldfish I've eaten in the last 30 days. :bigeyes3:

I'm in agreement with Jay, more protein.

Don't do daily cutting up and bagging! Do it once or twice a week! Or buy precut veggies like baby carrots and chopped-up broccoli and cauliflower.

Also, I agree about pairing carbs with protein or a healthy fat, like nuts or a nut butter or avocado. It tides you over longer.

Veggie cutting is such a deterrent. I've resorted to buying pre-cut, just so I'll eat them...works occasionally.

Add more protein maybe? It takes longer to digest and the body resists turning it into fat. It will but not as much or as easily as carb. It tends to shut off the appetite with me.

You definitely need carbs, I just wonder if pairing it with some protein will help?
