View LYNNABEL's food & exercise for this day

Eyeliner dream last night :eyebrows: and it actually involved eyeliner (finding it in a bag of make-up brushes). Is it weird I thought of certain CK friends no long after? ;)

Life is pretty good. I'm still enjoying not being in law school. I've taken up random activities like crocheting and sewing and painting hub caps (thanks for the idea Patti!).

I haven't been able to run as much as I'd like because its been very cold and windy the last several weeks. The kids and I did a 5K to raise money for a food shelf but that has been it. Even then, it was cold and the track wasn't very clear of snow and ice so we had to go slow.

I have to go to Boston for a quick work trip next week, but otherwise Christmas will be pretty mellow - no travel. My sister is having her baby on December 21st, but I'll wait to go to see them until January so they can have some adjustment time. She will have the baby in OKC, and her husband is joining her there this week. Its been an uncomfortable pregnancy for her - lots of back pain and very poor sleep. They used to use the term "geriatric pregnancy" for when a woman was older than 35, which is a truly horrible term. Now its "advanced maternal pregnancy" which sounds much nicer. I assume they had to come up with a better name because so many more women are having babies in their late 30s and 40s.

What else? Not much. Kids are doing well. Happy and healthy. Growing. Steve is good. We are planning a trip to Mexico next December (just Steve and I) - to a music thing. Strings and Sol, its called.

Happy Wednesday!

Heat will do you in and quickly. Anything 85 degrees or above is brutal. For me the ideal temperature is between 70 and 80. There was a light breeze Saturday night so that made it even more pleasant.

I've made peace with the fact that my ancestors were stocky south Germans and not built to run fast. We can go the distance but just not with speed. :laugh5:

The study I read about used supplements containing 24 million lactobacillus bacteria. One Yakult typically contains 6 billion. The supplement I bought contains 6 billion as well but you can take two per day. Actimel, which I'm switching to, contains 10 billion. I've read too that one Actimel or one Yakult doesn't really do much so I'm hoping with the supplement to come close to the 24 million in the study I read about.
