Pre-Ellen Weight

Wednesday, March 19th 2008

Quick update - my mornings are full but nice. I'm up at 6 and scoop Ellen from Steve at that time. Then I get to puts (sp?) until Will wakes up. It gives me time with the kids in the morning since I don't get home until 6:30. Will is a handful in the morning though - he can read me like a book. Argh.

I don't deserve this, but I'm at my pre-Ellen weight. I'm appreciative of it - it means I "just" need to start working out again, which I will do today at work and I should be able to...

Good-a, Nice-a

Saturday, March 15th 2008

Ellen and I are home now. We had a great time. Ellen was an angel the whole time, and she made my mother so happy. The doctors and nurses at the hospital loved Ellen as well. In fact, people came into my mother’s room just to see her. She beemed at everyone and snuggled with my mom.

The traveling went fairly well. The gate agents and flight attendants were so helpful (Missy - it was United). I do need to get to the airport 1.5 hours in advance, though – I cut it way too close with 1 hour ...

Its my last day here at NHCN. I'm definitely a lame duck. If I didn't think he was such a flaming, evil, idiot, I might actually develop some sympathy for our lame duck President given my own experience with that status. Its SO not a big deal, but I do feel left out and sidelined. Completely understandable, though. I'd do the same if I were trying to manage the departure of a manager. Still. (Insert pout here). I just feel like an idiot. I'm glad its my last day.

Am starting to feel a bit m...

Guillan Barre Syndrome

Tuesday, March 4th 2008

My mother has been diagnosed with Guillan Barre Syndrome. "He's calling it that for now" is what my father said that the doctor said, which leads me to believe they are hoping that is what it is, but aren't 100% convinced. I only had courage to look at one website describing it, and since it didn't seem fatal if treated in time with immuoglobulin, I'm not researching it any further.

She is the hospital, in a lot of pain. I spoke with her this morning and it looks likes she'll be ...

We're Selling Wee-moo...

Monday, March 3rd 2008

Steve, Ellen, and I are still sick. That makes over a month of it for us. Here at work, people are dropping like flies, and have been for the last month from what I hear. Whatever this is, its horrible. I can't remember a worse winter for colds and flus. Poor Steve - Ellen wouldn't fall asleep anywhere but upright on his chest last night so he was awake all night. At least I slept well.

We're looking to sell Will. :cross2: Any takers? He's in RARE form. Yesterday we had 3 20-minute tantrums, in be...
