Quick update - my mornings are full but nice. I'm up at 6 and scoop Ellen from Steve at that time. Then I get to puts (sp?) until Will wakes up. It gives me time with the kids in the morning since I don't get home until 6:30. Will is a handful in the morning though - he can read me like a book. Argh.Saturday, March 15th 2008
Ellen and I are home now. We had a great time. Ellen was an angel the whole time, and she made my mother so happy. The doctors and nurses at the hospital loved Ellen as well. In fact, people came into my mothers room just to see her. She beemed at everyone and snuggled with my mom.Tuesday, March 4th 2008
My mother has been diagnosed with Guillan Barre Syndrome. "He's calling it that for now" is what my father said that the doctor said, which leads me to believe they are hoping that is what it is, but aren't 100% convinced. I only had courage to look at one website describing it, and since it didn't seem fatal if treated in time with immuoglobulin, I'm not researching it any further.Monday, March 3rd 2008
Steve, Ellen, and I are still sick. That makes over a month of it for us. Here at work, people are dropping like flies, and have been for the last month from what I hear. Whatever this is, its horrible. I can't remember a worse winter for colds and flus. Poor Steve - Ellen wouldn't fall asleep anywhere but upright on his chest last night so he was awake all night. At least I slept well.
