One reason I wanted to start journaling again was to record things about Will that I know will be lost with time.
Some darling-isms lately are: "vo-mie" for movie and "di-pie" for diaper; and the specific requesting of books by title, ex. "'se-wf" for "All By Myself" and "Biggie" for "When I Get Bigger" and "Granma" for "Just Me and Grandpa" (all by Mercer Mayer). He has peed on the toilet before his bath 3 times now, which means he is making the connection between toilet, urge, timing, etc. He has been sick the last few days, and I've observed how much this affects his ability to focus. Poor monkey. He's getting better now, it was just a cold. This time around we used a little bit of Tylenol Cold/Cough and lots of Vic's Vaporub. Individual words are becoming less of an event as he is parrotting almost everything he hears, but his sentence structures are becoming more and more complex. "Daddy, garage, close, door." Although very onery due to illness, he is basically fairly tidy/organized and responsive to re-direction.
Oops, he wants out of the tub, so more later.

Hope Will feels better soon. Vicks is the best thing ever put in a jar! ..// Raziel loooved the Little Critter books. I'm looking forward to reading them again.

Mercer Mayer rocks. No question. When he's older, go for some Lane Smith to develop his wit and sense of irony.
